I had a dream last night that resulted in me waking today with a fully-fledged book idea present in my head. This rarely, if ever, happens to me, and now I’m wondering whether to drop everything and write this new book rather than finish my short story collection that I’ve been working on since September. I guess the muse must have visited me last night, and I’m wondering whether to make the most of her gift before it fades from memory. What do my readers think I should do? I’ve already scribbled a few notes out just in case I can’t remember the whole thing, but do I take the time to write it all out long-hand?
